Park Life

When the sun greeted me at my door this morning I couldn't help thinking about some events looming this Summer. Can't wait to see these guys at Hyde park...

It's a shame Clarence Clemons won't be there but i'm sure Bruce Springsteen will be sure to honour the big man and I'm looking forward to it. One day later and we'll be seeing this guy...

Performing this album in it's entirety...

That is a killer weekend! The only way this can get any better is if Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers announce their inclusion on the bill. Here is something more immediate for you to look forward to. This comes in today...

Slipping

No posts this week, excuses being life, work and skateboarding. Been having a blast with minimal internet activity. Monday morning for you, I slept on seeing this but caught the tail end when we dismantled the show this evening...

Witnessed some insane acrobatics. Think the company plan to return to England, keep an eye out. This video was a go to of mine for a long while. This part has matured like a fine wine...

Telegraph Hill

This view greeted me this afternoon. Love nothing more than a new skatepark...

I had a grand old time pretending I was at China Banks skating the banks behind the benches, off the benches into the banks etc. There's an amazing hip there too. Unfortunately this amazing hip spits you out at a quarter to flat and it took out our friend Max. Backside powersliding so as not to hit a fence lodged his foot beneath it and he's hobbling about on crutches currently. Get well soon. Here's a fairly recent edit of him killing it around the city...

Wasn't expecting to see this Goethe quote outside but glad I did, how very nice...

Hey Hey

I was saddened to hear the news that Davy Jones passed away. He was an inspiration when I was a kid. The Monkees are a fond memory for me, first album, first gig and met the man himself age 11 all thanks to Kevin Sawyer. This is a re-post...

The Monkees stoked me out as a kid, this was my first album...

and it got a rinse out. My dad took me to see them on this tour...

We saw them in Hammersmith. When their cars showed up at the back doors he pushed me under the barriers and said run to that car, handing me my cassete. Davy Jones' wife greeted me and sure enough I got it signed...

Thank you for the memories

Send Off

Yesterday was Dan Callow's last day as manager of Slam. It was the saddest of days, it was the happiest of days. Happy because today, right now in fact he's doing exactly what he wanted to be doing eventually ahead of time. He's going to be making furniture with this guy...

The irony of it is that not working in a skate shop is probably going to free him up to do more skateboarding...

So hopefully there'll be more of this kind of
action
which will be zic. Digging in the crates for a good image something quite poetic happened. The man who will be taking over his role made this in 2008...

You'll still be able to catch him catching up...

Good luck mate
