Tourist eyes

Had a fun skate through the City last night and visited old haunts. Did the run through Shell centre and down towards Victoria via Parliament square. Dodged a lot of tourists trying to re-create this...



Spent a little time looking at the river, I like trying to Men in Black myself and imagine I'm seeing things for the first time-hard to do. Case in point is nonchalantly walking through clambering tourists tripping over Big Ben without giving it a good look. The journey through Shell and down to Viccy benches reminded me of these times...

I've been experiencing a mixture of emotions. My faithful friend Martha the mule has been a cruel mistress of late. There was a sequence of unfortunate events culminating in her becoming a one gear machine, the wrong gear. Technically I have been bmx'ing around in third for a few days after a puncture fest. Good news came from this, I now have a new whip. The grasshopper...



My Elswick machine has had the Fred Bennet and Wob once over and made it's way into my hands via Gaz and the kind transportation of Jackson. Make it's acquaintance...



Some rudeboys saw Jackson pushing it home via his yard and said "pardon me old chap" then cracked up laughing, it's doing a fine job already. J Mascis was amazing last night, he started with the Wagon and killed it from then on in with an acoustic set, interspersed with that familiar electric whine we all know and love. It was a great show. Then today he came in here and hung out and left with a bear t-shirt...
