Susie Krome invited us to the best art show I've been to in ages. It was a collection of neon signs from all over the place and created for different reasons. Rescued window displays, ads etc. It's on the corner of Carnaby street and well worth checking out. Here are a selection of pictures...
Took this next one for Toddy...
This was my favourite, yeah dogs!...
This little counter was good...
The beauty section was rad, this big lady...
promised to transform...
just next door was a graphic botox ad...
This one came out amazingly well...
Promises at the bottom of the stairs...
This playing card greets you at the door...
Here's a G from the window...
Jackson's main gripe about his favourite bar...
The Lido sign's good...
Here's the sign to the toilets...
This looked great...
I liked this kola sign...
drink of choice...
Shawn...
Finally the last of picture from your virtual visit is Dan's favourite...
After this we enjoyed a pub pit stop and then jetted to the 12 bar to see an acoustic Wonk Unit show. Repping Slam the whole time Alex read from his sex manual which is a work in progress...
His words warmed up the crowd as always. He proceeded to play unplugged versions of some of the Wonk songs you may already know and love...
Surprise of the evening were two new songs I'd never heard him play before. One of these where he wishes he could have ten wives may be in my opinion the best song he's ever written. Looking forward to hearing it again. This greeted me this morning...
I've had a week of dubious gives on the lookalike scale but you'll follow...
Keep next Thursday evening free. To celebrate the official opening of our sister store beneath the WeSC store on Carnaby street there will be a launch party...
Have a good Weekend
