VFM

This is a ceremony of sorts. Prize for the winner of this prestigious award is our allegiance and custom...

Having worked in this area code for around a third of my time on planet Earth I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable when it comes to local amenities. Burning issue of every day would be the lunch debate. It's Toddy's favourite topic of conversation. An obvious option can be fast food but like Willie Nelson said (I know he wasn't talking about the colonel) "The low is always lower than the high" One constant in British life is the jacket potato. They are ten a penny around here, not literally but they are a mainstay in any cafe menu so it's easy to take them for granted. Even a bad one with those grey knots in it will appease an appetite and be forgiven. It's the really good one I had today which was head and shoulders above the rest that reminded me why this establishment is one of the best...

It is located on Endell Street, number 14. Their chicken melt is good, very good but it's the jacket that won them the first of what could be a monthly award from now on. Here's what you do, go in there, ask for the jacket potato with cheese and beans. They then fill the most delicious potato ever with beans, copious amounts of cheese and a side salad all for £4. Little bit too steep? Try it, it's definitely worth your attention. Congratulations Earls on the first of what will one day become a coveted accolade.
