Three by the Sea

Enjoyed skating the newly re-vamped Broadstairs park today with Jonny L and Bobby G. Before taking our tired carcasses home we roamed around Margate. On the beach we walked in the pouring rain and also past a depressing amount of redundant businesses. Boarded up shops everywhere. Coastal towns have a creepiness about them, an emptiness but this added to it. Dreamland?...



This part of the strip felt most barren as this was a main attraction, one Jonny L reminisced about. Train journey, Bembom brothers as it was then known and donuts as standard. We took the left to see the donut site which was closed. It's situated next door to the joke shop. The best thing about the joke shop is the step is a tad too high and everyone trips through the door. Nice touch. Quest for sweets accomplished we returned home in treacherous conditions. Not writing a little about this last Bromley excursion would have felt wrong, there's a place in my heart for these seaside trips. I'm looking forward to picking this up next Tuesday...
