Thanks for coming out
To everyone who made the effort to get in and visit Slam yesterday thank you. It was a great turn out, pictures will follow of many stoked individuals young and old alike. Here's evidence of the Muska's handiwork...
I saw many slightly less energised faces today who thoroughly enjoyed the after party last night. Here's Charlie in a digger...
a good number plate...
Promising future entertainment...
and a video I never got around to posting yesterday...
Realness.

The sky is burning
For the purpose of hearing stuff like this through a better sound System than the one in my room...
the good person over at
This Has All Happened Before (Hogs) and myself have teamed up to put on a renegade last minute (sort of) night to do just that...
For classic rock that rocks and I imagine much more wildcard selections-who knows? It was Bomb the bass half hour yesterday and those Seal acoustic tracks have been sneaking their way onto the Slam airwaves of late. Be
There!

"What you done with all those...
...tins of gleamed peaches?" We watched this last night...
and it got me to thinking about Stella Street and Keith Richards' role as Jack Sparrow's dad...
Make sure you keep this Saturday free...
Here are some sections for you that weren't on the news...
Had a tin of this last night having not had one for ages...
It was good as I remember

Rooster Cogburn
Saw this last night, you should too...
I love a Western. Received quite a lot of derision for a leather jacket I got from this guy...
Charlie's banging photo is from the reccent Palace in NY article which is in this month's
Sidewalk The leather jacket fulfills a lifelong quest to achieve this strong look...
Jackson's given it the most, but he's been rocking this hat so i feel okay...
Tonight this guy...
Has his show...
See you there

John McClane
Had the time of my life watching Die Hard 4 last night, we were punching the air and everything. Perfect Valentines day viewing. Things of note you may want to snap up are these
Anti Hero boards...
and also this flavour piece cruiser from
Deathwish ...
Those of you who've visited us recently will have noticed the basement zone is temporarily out of action. Big things have been going on down there and we're pleased to announce that this is happening...
Make sure you come down on the 26th. This lunatic just darkened our doorstep...
Daisuke announced that his glasses are the same ones JFK and Malcolm X used to wear, Rob pointed out he may be looking to get assassinated. He is on a mission from Silas starting tonight...

Keep Keen
This box just showed up from Slugger...
It contained twice the amount we ordered of this...
You can buy
Keep Keen for the Princely sum of £6.95 in-store or
online I stayed up the night before last trying to write something when I heard the sad and shocking news about Bingo. Then I read what Rayman had written and it's
perfect Never forgotten.

Treetop Flyers
This guy hooked it up last night...
We went to see his band the Treetop Flyers...
They're very good and you should check them out...
and if you liked what you hear buy the ep
here They supported this band who were also very good. Their drummer literally smashed it...
They're called family Of The Year...

Summer's coming
This edit greeted my inbox this morning courtesy of
Chris Mulhern
Always good to see the fruitful triumph over a harsh Winter and while a grey sky lurks outside my window right now, we're a hell of a lot closer to a blue one. Here's a nice picture of Wob from his last trip to the East coast...

My Father Said
Another good recommendation from my Dad was to listen to this guy...
Supporting the Stones with his band the Jaywalkers, turning down the spot of vocalist with what would become Led Zepelin to tour with Cream and suggesting Robert Plant for the position, he was almost in Deep Purple too. After some listening I told him I liked it and apparently I should as I heard it a fair bit from ages 1-3. Enjoy the song, he deserves your attention.

SB
Having not skated Southbank for a very long time it was great to go there the other night and have a fun time even with minimal dry space. If only it still looked like this...
Richie Hopson capturing the expanse in all it's glory. There's a new Notch edit for 2011, the highlights of Thursday's skate at Stockwell. Have a look

"Why are you at it??"
This really was the question last time Edson opened his doors. Wayward events have a habit of being a fine time with minimum pillock potential so get involved tonight...
Having organised your plans for you tonight let me urge you to pencil this date in the future into your electronic filofax...
Fos' solo show up coming just a short bop from his yard in a couple of weeks. Here's a good image from the Justin Townes Earle gig the other night, Seth and the Gaywood Boys...
Two of those fellows are cornerstones of this company if you didn't know already...
Big things are imminent, so keep your eyes peeled. All of the newest Palace garms are available
here While stocks last, come in and browse the rail. These guys...
Sent a box of product to these guys...
Who kindly shipped it to us and now you can buy it
here Enough shop stuff already I went and saw this gem at the cinema the other night...
Just like last time I checked it's the best film ever made. My bike ride home was a hundred times more fun than usual too. It was the first one of these...
an hour with three comedians and then celluloid magic-killer combo. Before I leave you, guess what day it actually is...
Remember to raise a glass to Punxsatawney Phil and lets hope it is gonna be an early Spring
