In the day we sweat it out in the streets...

These wonderful human beings will be providing my entertainment this evening. Not that excited, it's only going to be the best night ever. I won't harp on but once I've finished this post i'm going to slip Magic into the stereo and slide off to the Emirates to worship at Springsteen's church of Rock n Roll. The godfather of soul is gonna be blowing his sax, anyway....
We have banging boards in for the weekend, wanna see?

We have these new Harmony boards which look good together.

New Alien, Habitat and Chocolate boards make it all a little more interesting.

Sick new Girl boards and Fully Flared back in. Did I mention I was going to see this guy tonight?

Previous set lists look more than promising. One Australian who left his footprint on skateboarding in this city, he did this, he did that, did you hear what he did ?.. is Andrew Brophy. He was back all too briefly..

The word is that his Cliche part is going to be off the chain. Brophy is back on tour then back to Oz. One of his country folk remains firmly here..

No not Will H.H.H Harmon but the man hugging him. It's Brabs! This is a photo of the two of them lurking outside last nights document night which was a good time. Brabs ( Paul Brabanec ) has done a series of Cliche boards. They too are on the wall and looking good, check them out..

We all had this for lunch today..

Some other boards of interest are these two Stevie Williams boards and a Rob Welsh!

The Welsh crack pigeon glows in the dark! That's what I'm talking about. Magic is on the wireless, tomorrow is a million miles away and tonight we witness a legend, I feel a little sick and very happy..

Enjoy your evening I know I will.

Rex Kwon Do

Tonight this is happening!

Hoppy hooked me up a preview ticket for tonight for this new Ferrell produced comedy..

I'm off to meet Charlie to skate. Neil tells me the new Miami melt at the golden arches is a winner. It's going to be a good day!

Talking about the weather..

Got caught in a thunderstorm last night!

Hopefully the weather will be better in the morning so we can get a skate in. We checked out a good restaurant round the back of Carnaby st last night called Cha Cha Moon, it's £3.50 a meal right now and it's on Ganton st/ in Kingley court so get down there. I had the Singapore noodles which were pretty good. More new food establishment news to follow. New Nike SB product is in....here's the caps..

By the time you read this all the new SB product will be up on the news and available online. I hunted around all this morning for a picture Rob drew of all the old Slam staff. I couldn't find it but I did find this...

It's the album you've been looking for! Check out the flicks on the back..

As well as finding this I uncovered this piece of classic Wax!

The boss! We're going to see him on friday night and it's going to be incredible! Whilst looking for Rob's picture I found one of my own..

It's a canvas I did ages ago of people I like and have influenced me. I accept cash or paypal if there are any offers. Limited edition one of one. It could be signed and numbered too. No takers? Okay moving on... The new food joint on the corner. Here's the menu..

Wanted to go for the energiser smoothie but they were slack on being fully operational..

Sounds good though. Jackson and myself agreed on this being a good breakfast option..

...and if this sucks when I eventually get to have it I may become vegetarian again..

Last off, we have an important piece of point of sale. It could be the best thing we've ever had. Pizzer would be excited. Here it is in slumber mode..

Then Kapow! It's alight with a yank of the chain..

Live nudes. This will be up and brightening your day very soon.

176

The 176 site is under construction so you should check it out once it's fully operational. There's a sick collage there right now if you're eager, I'll give you the heads up when it's done. To have a look visit here..

http://www.one76.com

. For now here's some 176 related pictures..

Shier and Seth, probably muling over a lunch choice or skate spot. If you haven't seen Shier's part in Dudes Dudes Dudes you are slipping. Source it and watch it because it's sick. It's free with this months Sidewalk, Brophy, Baines and Lucien feature too. If you can't find one come in here and we'll watch it with you. The man in the blue hat has dropped a load of new designs and we have them in store. If you missed them on our news page here's a little reminder..

This number 1 shirt has been popular and comes in white and black. This is the back print..

This eggplant coloured logo shirt reminds me of the bottom of one of Seth's boards. This is the front..

...and this is the back

This next one is inspired by the Morrissey track "I am hated for loving" from the album Vauxhall and I. The front print says I am hated for loving..

...and the back print says.

We still have some of Seth's old shut up and shred shirts in. All of these are available here,,

Seth is going to be playing some music this thursday coming along with the usual reprobates and DJ Hogs too, as long as at least one of them plays "I think we're alone now" it's all good. This is where you need to be..

Very soon Joey Pressey will be doing backside nose blunts with his name spinning on his wheels.

They're going to be 52 mm and they're going to look like this..

Joey's Landscape colleague Soy Panday had a shock when he turned up to meet Rob a while ago. They must have been sharing a brain. Rob came to London from Molesy and Soy travelled in from the East only to find they were dressed identically. Being dressed identically is one thing, these two had even employed the same sweater toss..

Bonjour!

Twenty!

Monday 26 May 2008

Watch this!

It was exciting and ticked a lot of boxes for me. On top of it being a great film it's cast includes a chimp.

Sunday 25 May 2008

Rather Ripped..

The familiar sounds of Luigi's favourite Sonic Youth album are on right now. By all accounts it's a fairly quiet sunday in town. We saw our friend Chrispin's band last night. They are called..

The night we went to was called..

There was a dance troupe running around dressed as beavers, gnawing on sticks with fake buck teeth. The penetrator's are really good. Check them out..

Rob and Charlie brought us back some amazing stuff from NY. I got this Harold Hunter tee Zoo York made. This is the front..

And this is the arm..

They celebrated Harold Hunter day when they were there. You can read more about it here..

http://www.haroldhunter.com/

Another gift was this sticker..

There's more evidence of Harold Hunter day on Billy's blog. Good footage too, Charlie saw these nuts hanging around all over the city. This is the blog..

http://www.billysnuts.blogspot.com

The Coda video came back with Rob too, you should come in and give it a watch. If you ever managed to watch the Death wish video which was floating around on the message boards you'll know a bit about this new Baker project which is being repped and distributed in this country in the immediate future by..

..all time good lads Louie slater and Martin Kennelly. These boys have been back in London town gathering footage for Martin's forthcoming video. Louie was laying it down yesterday apparently. Check out the distribution they've started up..

http://www.sluggerdistribution.com

Do you remember when we used to put top five skateboarders up on the site. Different peoples lists would make the front page every now and again. Each skater would have a video part posted for you to watch. I've gathered the info from Yap just now, it didn't take him long. Now that it's busy in here there's no chance of posting the videos so I pass the baton to you Mr Jackson..

Je te souhaite un bon week-end

Time out

Hi de Hi campers, here's what we have planned for you. It's bank holiday Sunday and you're reminiscing about how good The Smithes were when you saw them at the Slam Dunk release party. This sunday John Tolley is bringing you not one but four cover bands. It's in Kingston but promises to be a good time. Check it out..

Next date for your calendar is thursday coming. It's the next Document +1 evening. Here's the info, see you there..

Bank holiday your legs off!

Friday 23 May 2008

The wanderers return...

Charlie and Rob made it back this morning. Charlie must have had a lot on because I just got this in the mail. It's Michael J Panday...

A new addition to our board wall this weekend are these three 5boro boards. They complement the Shut boards. Another legit East coast board company sitting on the wall. The boards look like this..

Wes from out of step interviewed Steve Rodriguez recently for Crossfire if you're wondering about 5boro. Check it out here..

http://www.caughtinthecrossfire.com/skate/interviews/6420

We have other new boards on the wall for the weekend, these three Stereo ones..

Gustav dropped by and I wanted to get a picture of his sticker job, something which cause Seth much mirth back in the day. An old Gustav sticker job would involve symmetrical placement, nose and tail style. There was no sticker job at all but good lad Gustav was rocking a Slam board so I took a photo to document the lack of a sticker job..

The photo wasn't up to scratch so we took another with flash, revealing...

...a subliminal gimp. Helicar's work uncovered! There are cruiser's in for bank holiday adventurers too. This big Stereo 15 years one..

There's a bizarre little fella too. Agent LT73 is backing this one..

We have some Diamond goodies in too..

Hella Slick wax is £3.95 and the bolts are £3.50. You get a magic extra bolt with these and an allen key and a sick little diamond spanner and a sticker. These are worth it for the spanner alone. Yap once again is taking food horror to the limit and giving Neil a run for his money..

The old chicken dinner, admirable. Planned to skate yesterday but it never happened. Hopefully get to skate this weekend. Yesterday I sought my excitement elsewhere..

Auf Wiedersehen!
