Jagger

It's the last Wednesday of the month which means...

Jagger's night again. It's a special one for the man's berfday...

No disappointment from this department this week...

Jupitus

We had a celebrity guest momentarily today...

He wasn't looking for us though. It was a Rough Trade enquiry. As you may know manny mania is upon us again...

Etnies are running a progressive promotion for those of you attending. The first 100 people to give the Sole tech staff working it the shoes off their feet will receive a free pair of Etnies! The old shoes will go to the European Recycling company who support the children's charity Variety club. Get yourselves down there for a spot of alchemy safe in the knowledge it's for a good cause. I enjoyed setting this up today...

Slugger fam will be stoked too. Anyone in the market for a cruiser sled before Deathwish product is re-upped don't despair we just got this piece in...

Give us a call about the hippie stick

Updating

Certain things you remember clearly buying and consider them as owned even though the format they are on is somewhat redundant. What am I talking about? I remember clearly being in Tahoe as a teenager and buying this cassette from a little record shop...

Pretty sure it cost me $6. Inspired by the other evening I now own it again and it can travel with me more easily.

Delicious-able

This guy inspired today's lunch choice...

No foot rubs though. Here's a blown up version for the Brophy out there in the field so he knows this exists...

Every Weekend we lance out a text to Jackson early to see if any updates will hit the world wide web before Monday. Guess what...

Notch has a new addition. Jackson and Jamie Aaaaarrrgghhh hit Mile end this Weekend. To have a watch Click here

Extremely sorry

For not attending the Flip premiere. I've heard more than a few reports. One person who really enjoyed it was Graham...

He got to meet Lance Mountain. This piece could take out Fos and Seth in business card top trumps...

We had a good time here...

They put on an amazing show. J. Mascis shredded the guitar and rendered us all hard of hearing for a few hours afterwards. Surprise guests were Mark Skinner, Lee Stewart and Neil Graham. We were going to begin a competition giving away one of Shier's hardly skated boards based around this picture...

Unfortunately someone in dire need of a board to save the day showed up. Competition is off, at least you got to see the Wu-tour ad. Those Blueprint boards have been flying out today. Stay tuned for the Tim O'Connor comp. Have a good Saturday evening and we'll be seeing you tomorrow.

Goin" DINO!

Flip premiere is kicking off tonight. I'm more than sure there'll be some mind blowing footage. I'm opting for some ear blowing noise for tonight instead, we are off to see the Wizard...

Dinosaur Jr-guaranteed entertainment. What do we have for you this weekend?...

A wedge of Blueprint boards and wheels. Stickers too, just ask for one. We have new Cliche boards too. Robbo was blown away by one of the 3D top graphics...

Here's a glimpse of a prize soon to be on offer. Tim O'Connor left us this set up and you could win it. Info will be on the news front page next week courtesy of...

Ever present Jackson, waiting on that Notch update. Finally an unusual bit of coverage. Where would you expect to come across in...

Us of course...

Dickens was always in using the re-threader and poncing old boards. See you tomorrow

Gilded Palace of Sin

That's the title of a great album by the Flying Burrito brothers. You should buy it if you don't own it already. It's relevance as a title? It has the word PALACE in it. If you've been sleeping under a rock I'll fill you in on the new movement that's filled the store of late...

If that little read has given you the impetus to rep the Palace you're in luck. Tees are now in stock... Click here

There are four designs and six colourways available as you will see if you clicked that link up. The first run of black tees are made on a limited amount of inside out ones so snap them up. This Facebook application owes me a couple of proper nights sleep now...

Somehow addictive. I've been whacking people left, right and centre. Boring I know but it's part of my life. I leave you with Jaynesy. He's had a fair bit of Alley coverage now, I think he needs a regular spot...

I'm afraid I didn't know the name of what I imagine must be a signature move hence titling it the Ribcage.

Have you met Ted?

Season Five Episode one of How I met your mother aired finally. We can look forward to more Barney Stinson wisdom like this...

Suit up, there's more to come.

Sunday service

It's been reassuringly busy in here today. I saw a kid who's been skating for seven months doing fakie flips, kickflips and pop shuvits in the Alley after buying a new board which was impressive. Luigi came back bearing this sack from the B.K run...

To cap this Weekend's canine theme here's a great clip Rob found...

Beagles, what a resourceful breed.

Derrick's big day

Okay there was a dog fashion show today in Covent garden. Here's the crew...

and here's the course...

First up was Lady Ada...

She was amazing, very well behaved. Next up was Poochie...

Then Biggie Smalls...

Biggie was followed by Stanley...

Each dog at this point had followed owner/lead bearer very nicely especially the first contestant. Next up was Rabbit who had different ideas...

He veered off the runway and pretty much did a lip-slide. Derrick did very well...

Unfortunately this was for best strut and nobody strutted better than Lady Ada...

Stanley came second and Poochie came third. This was the only event I witnessed. No come ups for our little white friend this time round. Where did he excel?...

Look at that coat...

This little number won him another rosette for best outfit too...

He came and showed us his winnings but ended up having a good go at tearing them apart...

Well done Derrick. Yeah dogs!

Stolen beauty from stolen land

Controversy around the corner today. Ahava received another protest, police were called...

This didn't stop further protesting upon the isolated area...

The main event was that these two people in the shop Ahava, now closed because of their actions, had cemented themselves together inside a barrel...

A pleasant protester gave me this, if you click on it it's big enough to read...

To read more about what provoked a relentless string of protests Click here Okay enough politickin'. My week has been greatly enhanced by this guy...

Whose actions on Breaking Bad are the stuff of legend. This mixtape has also made it better...

I found this matchbox in my pocket today from my old collection. Have a look...

Here's the message inside...

and a picture of the gang...

I thought you may like that. I'll leave you with some more Rob Mathieson artwork. Do you ever mark your baseplate to tell front and back? I do. Now Charlie will always be able to tell too...

The Weekend beckons

Big Push

It's big push time...

The teams are out there on the road. For little edits of what's happening out there and to keep up to speed with what's going on Click here I find the whole thing an inconvenience because it meant Big Marls couldn't join me in Palace last night. You'll spy him on their with a knife and fork in hand and Karim too. It's Big Push time for me too, the big push to get out of bed

Blood on Chef's apron

Have a good look at a freshly merchandised cabinet...

It drew this little guy in...

We had a good Seth and Riley visit. If today's performance is anything to go by he'll be speeding around the shop at Stella speed in no time. If you fancy a closer look at some of the new additions to the cabinet and the store Click here It's that time of the Week again...

For standard ridicule and some Jagger and Rory footage Click here If this leaves you inspired to grab up some Palace product hot off the presses pay us a visit. The wheels are in now...

Boards and shirts are to follow. Carhartt rider Olly Todd's departure from Stereo comically captured by last week's Wayward Wednesday's was also announced on their site. Enjoy your Wayward Wednesday
