Welcome to Clint Walker
Just saw this over on Pulman's Facebook and re-activated Alley posting...
Got that Welcome To Hell heart in throat feeling from this clip, it's not often that something like this sparks my interest and it really did. Triple kinks, rails next to walls and Evil Kenevil type determination. Watch it!

This Land Is Your Land
I enjoyed a great evening the other night at the Ashcroft theatre which is the smaller venue inside Fairfield Halls. My evening began by encountering the racist rant of a cretin outside East Croydon station, the entertainment which followed was certainly the antidote. My folks had gaffled tickets for a Woody Guthrie musical on the opening night the second they went on sale...
I'm glad they did, it was like going to the best gig ever. Woody Sez is a joy from beginning to end. This is the scene...
The story is basically the one penned by Woody himself in his novel. If you haven't read it you really should, a tale of misfortune, travel, love lost and the integrity of a man devoted to his craft. Check it out...
Here's a crowd pleaser from the show...
If you get a chance go and see the show by all means necessary or read the novel or at least listen to some off his songs and form an opinion. Without him there would be no Bruce Springsteen that's for sure and where would we be then?

TUMBLR
There's a theory that smart phones have led to a decline in vandalism, social media has captured the imagination of wayward youths so they reckon. I think there will always be some kind of youthful need to question the powers that be to the point of answering back in some way but i'm not arguing that elements of social media free up head space/ give people a platform to set free what could sometimes be incapacitating thoughts. I'm not sure any such thoughts are incapacitating for myself right now but i've certainly found tumblr to be a good outlet for jumbled memories prompting google searches to be easily shared...
Welcome to the madness

The D is silent
It's no secret that I'm a fan of a good Western. Young Guns started my fascination. An Ennio Morricone Vinyl box set is on display in my room courtesy of Hops a few Christmas' back. Obviously everything Eastwood touched is a classic. It's possibly a little controversial then that this happens to be my favourite...
I think it's one of Val Kilmer's best roles, check out the killer lines here...
Never has justice being served felt quite so good. At least I thought so until last night, there could be a new cinematic rival. Tarantino has harnessed the power of the Western, twisted it and made it personal. If you're not feeling like punching the air at points during this one your soul has withered...
I suggest you watch it at your earliest convenience!
