"Coming my little piranha fish"

I bumped into this guy today...

Not literally but it added some meaning to the image. He did actually walk passed as Jackson and myself were eating lunch outside. I said hello and he said hello back. It stoked me out no end, bizarrely we were talking about the Cleese Basil Fawlty shirts Stu has made for the ESC this year only this morning...

Nice one for the stickers Stu. That is my favourite celebrity sighting to date, no question. Those of you planning to buy a candle after picking up a board this weekend need not run round the corner these just showed up...

Slugger in the house. Deathwish and Shake Junt sunglasses should hit the site for the weekend too. We got some new Stereo wood through the door...

Yes Benny! Here's today's Mathieson likeness...

Everybody loves Stella. Here's Henry Kingsford's picture from the SB show with a new dog collar...

and another Mathieson likeness of her and Joey...

She's all over the coming Palace boards also. Two of those bad boys are being test driven as I type. Here's a sneak peek...

Check back in two weeks for Palace product! See you over the Weekend

"Never gonna let them say...

...that I don't care" Brooks got back from being with some of these guys...

on a trip to Barca. You'll spot this guy...

Who has also received the Mathieson manipulation...

Karim Bakhtaoui is all up in this piece along with Rose McGorrogan, Kris Vile and Chewy Cannon. To visit our clips page in order to see the latest rat signal Click here
Lost on hold, the Wire ended, Sopranos long taken down. I've been shopping around for a series. My journey through this has begun...

I'm feeling the constraints of the end of the month, the wallet has taken a pounding so I'm lying low. If you're still flossing and looking for a fun night out Jagger has a night planned for you with a special guest slot filled by Joe from Hot Chip...

Have a good evening

"Yeah Frigo was my best friend...

...then I turned four" That's a line from this...

I enjoyed it but it didn't have quite so much of the inane dialogue I rated Superbad for. This definitely had a darker more sombre edge. It's been rush around busy in here today. I feel like this sometimes...

Alan Glass the GLZA sent us worrying documentation of some biters in Hamburg...

It seems they make their money via the sales of Stereo's, Cacti and MJ picture discs. Our skateboard vending operation is safe, I wouldn't be adverse to us having a cactus in here though. The last from me today will be to draw your attention to Rob's work in progress. You may remember a doctored Girl sticker made into Ches' likeness. Today's piece of the chain gang is the star of the last Zic signal...

Charlie Young. Here's a good old photo of him used during our Slam Dunk release of a wallride nollie out at South Bronx...

Kirk Cameo For Callow

Magee not so long ago waxed lyrical about Josh Kalis' professionalism. Always banging photos, every video part a sure fire winner. The Blabac show we saw was filled with amazing Kalis photos from now and from years back. He's always upping it...

This post is thanks to boil the Ocean and the Chrome ball incident. Looking at a post past I watched this and got stoked. 1995-2005. Winning...

Came up through the dirt like a parsnip

The premiere of this film and the events surrounding it are imminent...

My friend Bakul is responsible for offering any budding artists out there the opportunity to have work in the show. Read on...

DIY LONDON SEEN - An exhibition documenting the work of, and inspired by, the artists featured in Aaron Rose's 'Beautiful Losers' will take place in the heart of London this Summer, to mark the film's UK release.

As well as showcasing the work of upcoming British Artists whose work is either inspired by those featured in the film, or who create with a similar work ethic and freedom of spirit, the exhibition will also offer an opportunity to the next generation of like-minded Artists. The exhibition will include Skateboard Art and the organisers have announced that this will be made open to the public through an Open Submissions process.

To submit your work, please email a low-res jpeg of your board art to diyskate@watch-this-space.org by midnight on Sunday 2nd August. Applicants must be over 16. All submissions will be considered and if your work has been chosen for inclusion in the exhibition you will be informed by Thursday 6th August. As the exhibition's title suggests and due to its DIY nature, any successful Artists will be responsible for delivering their boards to the exhibition venue in Central London on 13th August and for collecting them at the end of the show, on 6th September.

DIY LONDON SEEN runs from 17th August - 5th September 2009 at Unit 11, The Market, Covent Garden, London WC2 8RF

BEAUTIFUL LOSERS is released by Revolver Entertainment on 7th August and runs exclusively at the ICA until 24th August . The DVD is released on 24th August.

You're hot, but you ain't too bright!

I made sure I was caffeinated last night so as not to fall asleep during this...

My brother and I took in a midnight viewing at the imax. I've heard a lot of people slating the film, many complaints about how loose the plot is. Perhaps the fact that the feature length is based on nothing more than a very successful series of toys had somehow escaped them. Fortunately I didn't walk through the front doors on a weepy journey of self discovery. I went to see Megan Fox and a load of massive robots fighting, where better to see that than the biggest screen in the UK. The Mudflap and Skids banter proves funny throughout. Weekend in progress so I'm out, if you do see the film and haven't given up completely on my recommendations do so on a big screen.

Back in the house once again

It's good to see these back in stock and on the top row...

We have wheels back in too. Nick Jensen whose poets deck is the second board from the left had this photo of his snap taken by Jackson at the Weekend...

He's getting the hang of that shutter. I've seen other successful evidence so expect to see more images in the coming weeks. The title of today's post is applicable to another Blueprint rider...

It was good to see him back on home turf having been in Barcelona for a time now. It was a brief visit however he's off to NY for ten days. This guy is going to be trying his damnedest to keep up...

I'll introduce you to more off Rob's Girl sticker manipulation at a later date too. Here's a homemade Scoth Egg he took down earlier...

To cap this post with a continuation of a theme here's Chewy's part in the Adidas video. You probably have seen it. If you haven't you're in for a treat...

and so the Weekend begins

Thursday, 23 July 2009

More than just a few...

...salvaged pages of old skate mags that were once tacked onto my bedroom walls/ceiling were in frames at the show I went to last night. We went to the show celebrating the release of Mike Blabac's new book...

The story was much the same for most people I spoke to. You get to see photos like this in all their glory...

Highlights for me were the volume of Kalis blast from the pasts and the fact that the first photo you see is of Karl Watson. I was about to start calling photos out but that would ruin the surprise for those of you intending to visit the exhibition. I suggest you go, we all left there stoked on what we'd seen...

High Guy

It's that time of the week again to check in and see what's been happening at Wayward headquarters. You'll be reminded as if you'd forgotten of just why this Guy...

...is the boss hog. For a blast from the past and a laugh at the present Click here After watching this wait until tomorrow and check our online store. Delivery should reach us from Revival meaning you can get your hands on a Mariano deck fresh out of Wallride before anyone else. If you're less affiliated than Pac was but feel strongly still about your footwear allegiance we have just the new shoes for you...

New product looks to be hitting us up to the weekend so shoppers out there stay tuned.

"I must tell you that the Clan is a danger to the public"

Wu tang again? I've been giving the new Wu production a play out...

Using a band as backing not just a RZA soundscape is an interesting touch. The sound harks back to their first release but musicians as backing keeps things fresh. Here's what RZA has to say about it...

Inspired by this and my new found love of documentary's I'll be giving this a watch this evening...

Expect to see more Callow Zic Signal action later this week from a successful outing yesterday. This weekend we're glad to be welcoming back boards from...

If you're in the market for a new sled I'll give you the heads up now that this series will be available in here...

Good news. Be sure to remember this is opening and you should pay it a visit...

I'll let you know how the Wu doco treats me tomorrow

Maroubra

My friend Ben gave me this to watch the other day...

Compelling stuff. Even if you're not filled with the the desire t get tubular from watching this you'll be gripped by the tales rollercoaster of emotions and left with a new handshake.

"With the attitude to match"

That's what the bouncer said to me last night when I told him my age. My facial expression maybe conveyed my disdain when asked to produce ID which is something I don't possess. They swiped my beard in the end. I've had a good three days off, skateboarding, cinema visit, paintballing. The Harry Potter 3d experience at the IMAX on Ben's birthday was amazing, the 3d had us ducking out of the way at points. I'm still of the opinion that had I watched any of the Potter films as a youth they would have been harrowing memories. That was a good day out. Paintball yesterday was one of the funnest things I've ever done. Good crew and a lot of laughs. Back in the store today, what's new? Deathwish product courtesy of Slugger. The NWA Antwuan Dixon...

Just by chance Ol' Dirty's lurking above this on this Mystery Lindsey Robertson board...

New blog bookmarks will be in order soon, a friend is cultivating web space tailored around hip-hop of note from the golden era, stay tuned. This Deathwish shirt is new in...

As is this Shake Junt one, available in black or white...

These caught my eye too. New bolts. Each numb nut is pink...

Planning an early night before paintball I retired at about 9. I thought I'd bite off another episode of the Wire. Next thing I know it's half two in the morning and I've finished the series. I'm sad it's ended. Here's one of my favourite moments. This is the best Western scene that's not in a Western ever. Omar, Omar...

I need a new series. Have a good weekend

Thirty!

I never imagined myself being that old and it went and happened. Today Ben is a year older and the survivor of three decades...

We're going to see this...

Extra 3D scenes are promised which is exciting then tomorrow's activity is...

It's going to be hilarious. Adam and the Drawing Boards crew went to Mile end the other day. As is often the case they enjoyed some typical English weather but still managed to come home with this edit...

They come bearing gifts

Today has been a good day for acts of kindness. Tamsin dropped us in some coffee accompaniments from Greece...

The cinnamon biscuits were really good. Cinnamon isn't a big enough deal over here, top notch flavour in my books. The chocolate below them was off the chain too. Thanks a lot Tamsin it sweetened our morning. The next gift came from Henry Edwards Wood. He's been here today busy with tonight's Hold Tight London premiere arrangements. Both showings are sold out in record time. The gift he gave us was a good one too, indirectly I suppose it came from this guy too...

Image lifted from Mr Josh Stewart. Dom took the photo on the front of the t-shirt we were given. It's a Marley/DVS/HTL collabo and represents the South...

Fairfields in all it's glory before they shrunk it. Henry's gift to you if you have a ticket is the premiere at the end of the alleyway in less than an hour. Our gift to you this week is at Ches' fingertips. Lev will be bringing you this guy...

Vs this guy...

Whilst this guy..

will be playing this guy...

Keep your eyes peeled for those games. Finally it's Mr Harmon's bday today...
