"I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas... "
First and foremost Dennis Hopper...
Rest In Peace. If you're reading this at a loose end on a Sunday here's something which enriched my morning and could make your day better if it's a new notion or if not it's a prompt to re-visit one of the best things ever recorded...

Your questions answered?
There's a new film you may have heard a lot about...
Macho tail drop is set to premiere here and you can go...
The UK Premiere of eS Machotaildrop is next Thursday June 3rd at The Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Sq. we have tickets in the shop for £5 each. Here's the
trailer Are you all finished up with Lost? Happy? Unhappy? I didn't do the dedicated 5 in the morning religious season/series ender> I may finish it off for myself tonight. If you are one of the many people who took down series one and two and then gave up (much as I did with Prison Break) then this little internet gem may cause you to cancel seasons 3,4 and 5 off your lovefilm list. I'm personally glad I kept up but this is hilarious nevertheless...
I'm actually looking forward to catching a train tonight due to this

"What if the cops can't handle this Jack?"
Yeah that's right new Deathwish product has hit the shelves. I'll give you an overview but you should come and have a look. Here's one the cops handled...
The Jim Greco shank cruiser comes bagged up like police evidence with blood on the blade and a suspect tag on top. If the shank shape doesn't float your boat maybe a beer can in the style of one of Toddy's favourite's will...
It's beer can shaped "skate all day, drink all night" We have this Antwuan shirt in...
and here's an overview of some more of the boards...
Louis has unleashed some slug art for the Shake Junt promo...
We have the Herman and Safranski shirts in from that series, both sport "Chicken Bone Nowison" spelt out of chicken bones on the back...
These will hit the site shortly but be sure to call us if any Baker Boy business tickles your fancy. It was good whilst on route yesterday taking a moment out of my schedule to be a tourist...
and to return to a garden that looks like Endor...

The end is nigh
It is if you've been following the escapades of the Oceanic 815 survivors through to now...
With character's dropping like flies and new storylines emerging the two and a half hour series ender better tie some knots. I don't think the end of the show will leave the void The Soprano's or the Wire ending did but nevertheless it's been a good ride. When it's done I'm glad I neglected these guys for 8 episodes...

"Afro's to the back"
This was shouted by someone behind me last night. Check out the initial Jake's eye view at last night's Dinosaur Jr show...
We soon moved out of the way of the boom. They delivered as always, it's pleasant being next to that humming speaker. Some of the new and lots of the old. Out There gives me the shivers, Freak Scene brings the ruckus...
Catch them when you can, it seems recently like you can quite a lot, they've been doing the rounds. If I sat down and worked it out on paper I think I've seen them as much as Wonk Unit. Christian Stevenson was there and was a ball of energy as always as were Nic Powley and Kevin Parrot. Fairfields was in the house like last time but different heads. Caught up with Glenn who is a real life Indiana Jones(Happy Birthday for last night mate and good luck with the impending little one) and also Rob Lancaster whose been sessioning Norwood with Marley G. We have a very limited couple of bags in...
They've put their own twist on Jansport bags from the 70's. The Westridge...
and the Snoqualmie duffel bag...
You can buy your new luggage
here Check out this corker of a deal/everything must go bargain I snagged the other day...
I'm not sure what to spend my 6p on. Maybe in this establishment...
Charring Cross Road. I'll report back

Fine Cuisine
My Brother paid me a surprise visit today and treated me to the holy grail of lunch spots. I may have mentioned this before but I'll drop the knowledge again. This three bottle combo is the finest hybrid sauce available...
Last night while weighing up wine buying options to accompany my surf and turf my decision was made for me in honour of tonight's gig...

What's good?
This week has flown by. Lots of entertaining things have happened but there's been little time to recount any due to a busy schedule in here. Very much enjoyed a show our friend has on...
Ben Sansbury whose work you may know from Silas collections/catalogues and the website was a cornerstone of the companies whole aesthetic. His mind has been spilled via many different mediums all over the inside of a contained zone he built himself in the [ space ] gallery in East London. All you need to know in order to go and see it yourself can be found
here I recommend you do. Cheers for the cocktail fuelled evening Ben. This week I also enjoyed seeing this on the big screen...
Dustin Hoffman's character Enrico "Ratso" Rizzo is amazing. Also this week was this launch I told you about...
There was a steady turn out and Henry Kingsford's vision came off. The first issue celebrates skateboarding in our capital and a great deal of "where's that spot?" went on. The mags are out and have been distributed, you can pick up your copy in Slam right now. I'll direct you to his site later in the Week when it's live. Enjoy the rest of the Weekend

"Burritos, boards, babes"
That's Luigi's department apparently. Today's post is going to be thin on the ground because of how much has been going down. On top of two Nike SB releases we had the RVCA team in doing a signing. With minimal advertising of this fact I didn't know what to expect. The queue was ridiculous...
They were banging the door down...
But after being ushered into the control zone downstairs while the team filtered in, the mob were soon seen to...
Signature fuelled kids then left to see the demo at Mile end and a busy Saturday ensued. See you tomorrow

“The color of truth is grey.”
That's a quote by Andre Gide. Tonight is Grey's moment of truth. You're invited to be in attendance to celebrate the first issue making it out there...
If you haven't heard anything about it read this interview with
Henry Kingsford and then take a trip down Kingsland road to get your hands on a copy.

To the bone
Work has been going off today, many Blueprint dvd's are winging their way across the country and further afield. Pay us a visit if you're yet to acquire one. Thanks to
Ray I got to enjoy seeing Pavement play last night. They smashed it and played pretty much everything you wanted to hear. My night in images is constructed with my mother in mind. She loves a light show. It sure was pretty...
Story of my life here...
The dangly ones were mesmerising...
Especially when they were "full beam"...
Thought you'd like that Mum. The final encore left loads of massive balloons bouncing around the crowd. They're playing there tonight again, you should source yourself a ticket. John Tolley over at Banquet records is on the ball with this one. Check the latest Banquet T-Shirt...
You can get yours
here Get your diaries out for the next
New Slam too! Another more imminent event is the launch of Henry Kingsford's new magazine I believe I told you a little bit about before. It's this Friday coming, pizza and beer, get yourselves along and be one of the first to see the mag. All the relevant info is here...
The next day we have the RVCA team in the store doing a signing before a demo at Mile End...
Cycling around the other day with Dan and Charlie had me racking my brains to remember the tune to E.T. Try it, I kept coming up with Back To The Future. Once we'd cracked it I was humming it a lot on our jaunt across town. Somehow it lead to this song and now I can't get it out of my head...
Now neither can you
