F.A.O Adrian French

This piece of footwear was spotted by Massey. Hopefully posting the brands existence will fill French with glee. We watched his line in the friends section of the Players vid earlier today...

He'll probably enjoy this too. People always tell you leaning forward is key to dropping in...

Sign it!

"Kids are queuing already" read the text I received from Ray First thing this morning. This was the scene that greeted us upon arrival...

This stretched to the end of the alley...

and round the corner...

It was well and truly heaving out there...

Last time I saw a sight like this was back in the Tiffany dunk days or when CKY played. Good to see skateboarding alive and well. Many of these kids I'd never seen before. After a little preparation it was all underway...

"I love you Sheckler!" rang out through the door at one point. He signed more than a few arms...

Devine Calloway, Davis Torgerson, and Ryan Sheckler were good natured signature givers throughout...

as were the rest of them. Willow by this point had left to join Smithy at Wallenberg and Jose Rojo had joined the enjoi tour. Kyle Leper, Tuuka Korhonen and Tyler Bledsoe were however joined by Axel Cruysberghs...

There was a steady flow of traffic..

With a lot going on behind the scenes too. Behind Sean Malto, Julian Furones and Kyle Leper you may spy a Dan Callow board sale in progress...

Gaggles of girls showed up to see Sheckler...

Malto had plenty of shouts from the door too...

I wanted to bring you a picture of Bartok and Don Brown and Tom Henshaw but I failed. Apologies. This signing was filled with happy kids. Here are some of them...

all of them left with gifts...

and smiles on their faces...

In the midst of it was Shier picking up his stuff on the road to Wakefield and spreading the love...

Finally Brophy is back. Here's photographic evidence...

If you're at the demo enjoy it, if you're at Wallenberg buy Smithy a beer...afterwards.

Joke shop

It came as no surprise to me to learn that Jaynesy has been learning to juggle whilst doing skateboard tricks. He's good at doing a number of strange things, he is master of the upside down flip trick on a board with no wheels too. Perhaps this info inspired the next clip. I watched this fairly late last night and nearly cried with laughter, it's like some kind of wildlife clip. Funnier still is the fact that the attempts had been going on for quite a while before Rob began filming...

Luigi is a phenomenon. May I direct your thoughts to a fellow countryman on a quest. Right now Neil Smith...

...is hurtling through the sky San Francisco bound. His quest? Paste Smithy over this Reynolds cover...

History is on its way in a Boeing 747. Good luck Smithy

Toger Toger!

When our friend German Tom isn't pushing Ben into nests of bees or talking about Keith Chegwins left leg he's out there clocking up the footage. Stylish, stylish. Pretty sure Tom once again resides in Germany. I threw up my Wuppertal "W" with the imminently returning Ben Dominguez many moons ago. Check Toms interview on the Kingpin site here...

This Country!

Rob remarked on just how much Partridge-isms are a part of all of our every day lives. It's true, they can be used in almost any situation and are. It inspired me to bring you a clip featuring your favourite Geordie and mine...

Guess who's back

Our explorer in the field very similar to Fraggle rocks...

is back. Uncle travelling Shier back in the shop less than a week after Toddy. Toddy was pictured with an American copy of Club on his first day back. Shier came bearing gifts...

Club, a bag of Jerky, goodness only knows what Brophy is going to have with him.

Countdown

Once Ben has returned perhaps the countdown clock will have to be set to the Hard Rock Calling event at Hyde Park. Neil Young on the Saturday and the Boss on the Sunday. Maybe we'll get to witness something like this happening...

Seeing those two one day after another is going to be phenomenal.

The lesser spotted

Prior to the Raekwon show which began at 3.30 in the morning I managed to snap this shot of Luigi in the wild...

He is rarely found in local drinking establishments so I was proud of this achievement. Hope the long weekend is treating you well.

"Tradin' in they Lexus GS's sending messages"

Luigi is off to see what the chef has cooked up for him this evening which is exciting. I was excited to see a picture Luigis friend Chloe made for him. It is a clever manipulation of the famous neck photo...

It's been a busy Saturday but I'm managing to type in the calm. Dust settled. Minutes ago a girl walked in and was greeted by myself, Luigi and Oliver. She exclaimed "Oh my god a wall of men!" Probably the best thing that's happened today.

"Americans will put up with anything..

...provided it doesn't block traffic"-Dan Rather

There's nothing blocking it here. As per usual we have a couple of boards in but we also just received this...

Come and pick up a copy they are £9.95...

You may have noticed a countdown clock in the right hand corner of this page. It's in honour of the return of Mr Ben Dominguez. Missing in action on Australian soil.
You have less than a week to plan your route as next Thursday all roads lead to Kingston for this...

Names of note entered and playing to win are Neil Smith, Nick Jensen, Vaughan Baker, Olly Todd, Scott Howes, John Tanner, Steph Morgan, Ben Coughlan, Jamie (Aaaaarrrgggh/the Pirate) Morley, Elliot Rees Jones. These are the people I know who are entering but a lot more than that will be playing on the night. This event is the brainchild of Kingston Kingpin Jon Tolley and our very own Mark Jackson. Not sure Jackson will be getting his kickflips out on the night though, he's been practising tricks of a different kind. Usually his bike is just a mode of transport but whilst flicking through Fixed he saw a move and said "I'll rav that!" Here he is pictured doing a sprocket grind outside...

Good work! Gustav man! Our resident giant from Sweden has a sick interview in a mag called Giftorm. Henry Kingsford shot half of the photos here. Here's a noseslide at Kings cross...

Olly is back from La La land as you would know if you saw yesterdays news. Always one for a souvenir is Toddy...

Rob caught me red handed earlier mid light bulb change. To avoid a morning blackout and deal with the inevitable burst of light all you need is the power on and a pair of sunglasses...

See you over the weekend. We are fully illuminated

"Where is disco?"

This is what I was asked on my way to work this morning, at least that's what I thought I was asked. "You want a disco?" I asked just to confirm. "Yes, disco" I told him he could find one but that it wouldn't be open until this evening and began suggesting opening times of local venues fitting that description. He interrupted me..."I was told there is disco on the corner" By this point I was confused and also in a hurry to be on my way "Why do you want a disco now?" I asked. "I want Nurofen" his reply. Completely baffled by the relation between the two I told him how to get to Superdrug. It was only whilst re-telling the story that I figured out that his quest was for Tesco. Maybe a disco was responsible for him needing Nurofen though. Claire Alleaume kindly sent through issue two of this...

The cover reads "Chris Ault on fire" To use an old Pizzer joke for Robs amusement "if only" Ault smashes it on the regular. He has a sick frontside krooked grind photo in there but my photo of it turned out horribly. You'll have to come and pick one up. Here's the first page of the interview instead...

This has been our soundtrack today...

Tonight it's about this time...

"I am just a speck of dust inside a giant's eye"

Last night was pleasurable. Worn out after a days skate it was good to eat at....is it called...

Followed by visit two to the Union Chapel in less than a month...

Kimya Dawson put on a really good show joined by two thirds of a gang of triplets. Her set included tracks from her latest Alphabutt album which sat comfortably amongst the rest of the material. She reminded me of my favourite primary school teacher. At one point early on she told us how excited she was a 12 year old girl named Blythe in the audience had given her a copy of her first album. She invited her on stage to play a song but when she declined, shy and on the spot, she made her promise to open for her next time she played London. The show was fun and likeable with a poignant ending. People I have spoken to who saw her at The Breeders ATP festival have said similar things. See her if you get the chance. Here's some more of Robs handiwork, a kind of X marks the spot...

Just started this...

and hope to cram this in to my week before I take down the second. I seriously slept on this, unforgivable...

The new Charlie Kauffman film is on the cards too. Checking into Chrome Ball Inciident my attention was drawn to this clip. So sick! Vault it...

Best sitcom ever

I've been rinsing it. I bring your attention to how good this is again instead of bringing you pictures of todays game of skate. Lucien lives with Steph, Lucien was supposed to be playing Steph. Only one competitor made it which is pretty funny. Watch this and then click on through to part two...

Good times

Awwaight Moite!

"The Samosas looked questionable at best"

"I need to shave my back"

We only get fifty percent of our Luigi fix this week unfortunately.

If the quote book had been here these past few months I think he just may have filled it.

..and I'm okay!

Jackson did some moonlighting this week. Here's some evidence...

If you have any troublesome trees or shrubs be sure to give him a bell. Visits always cheer us up in here. We had a good one earlier. Neil who used to run downstairs when it was Rough Trade popped his head round the door. It's always a pleasure to see him. He was known for running some pretty progressive attire back in the day. Exotic football strips and stripey sock/sandal combos spring to mind. The footwear part of this equation had obviously run wild in the time we hadn't seen him...

Amphibian. Good work Neil!

Hope in my past

Last night was amazing...

The Evan Dando show at the Macbeth was top notch. He played non stop for about an hour. He even played the Luka cover. Seeing him somewhere that small was special. He played the show with the guitar pick Dan gave me years ago which I'm glad to say is back in my wallet. If you get the chance to see an Evan Dando or Lemonheads show take it. He has a serious wealth of material beyond the obvious

Dudes dudes dudes

I just saw this dude in the street when I was on the way back from Maoz...

I'm going to see this dude play tonight...

Whilst looking for a photo of this dude...

I found photos of a character who brought me much joy as a child. The Hamburglar's early dialog was a continual muttering of "Robble, robble, robble."

The computer is fixed and Robs blog is once again fully operational. For new posts visit...

Big tings agwan in the Palace Waywards camp. Be sure to check...

http://www.dontwatchthat.tv/

Tim and Barry will be hosting this weeks installment of Wayward Wednesdays after 6 this evening. Usually it will air at 4.20 but what is in the spirit of 4.20 more than the show being a little late. Lev is a busy man nowadays, more PWBC news in the offing so watch this space. We just remembered a little rhyme Rob made up years ago. Dan would come in from a cigarette break and Rob would say-"SuperCallowsFagIsStrongItMakesHimSmellBallistic" Keep your eyes peeled for Dr Gonzo
