Spoilt for choice

Our friends are busy. Tomorrow night Sam Ashley has a photography show in East London. You must come and see what he's exhibiting...

Word just came in about some fun in another part of town. Marcus Oakley is hosting a night at the ICA too...

Nik Taylor and Toby "The Jewman Show" Shuall are DJing. It's a drawing night. In nIk's own words "Come and witness some good drawing and sloppy mixing"

Keep em Peeled

Skateboarding when it's not celebrating the past, is learning from it and evolving, creating something new. When new companies crop up, an existing team adds a name to their list or a video hits the shelves or the internet it's the word on the street. It always has and always will be the way. It's more exciting for me to report a new, soon to be released means of communication...

With more Mags dying than starting up it's nice to see that someone has got their balls out of their handbag and begun something which to all intents and purposes is and should still be one of the cornerstones of our scene. Keep a good eye on Grey and what it is up to in the development stages leading up to it's release

Waise The Woof

Royston Two Phones, Bromley top Boy and Ex Daggers keeper paid us a visit today to give our air con a going over. One unit is fine but I think the other has blown it's last breath. To discover as much the two of us took a trip I've always wanted to take. One up a folding staircase and out on to the roof. It's good up there. I got to see the back alley which runs between us and our Neal Street neighbours...

These are the sky lights of the design office above us...

This is the Hair By Fairy exit onto Monmouth street...

This is the Souk Medina one...

and here's the Salad Bar...

I called up Dan...

who was joined by another Dan and a Jackson...

Jackson got an arty one on the flipside...

That's all from my roof reconnaissance. These images are my pick from MSN's pics of the Week. This Sea Lion...

and this little monkey...

Just in from Big Marls is the news that a sick interview with the man himself is up on Chris Aylen's new website. Check out Dom's interview
here
As well as lots of skate photos it contains some of his other work like this...

and is well worth a read. Happy Birthday Tibbals! Bye

Belated

Internet connection errors made an earlier post impossible. The celebrations were fun. Happy birthday boys...

Fellow team mate
Kevin Coakley

Unfortunately we sold out of the Jake's Alley loves
Lola The Dog

Benny Fairfax
has a really good picture too, a mean front shuv...

Benny will be back in a couple of weeks for the Palace soiree.
Lucien Clarke
has something in there too but the mag has left the building. Coakley in Kingpin repping a Slam shirt and also thanks to a heads up from Jerome over at Shiner we have some love from Tony Manfre in our favourite American online

Holiday snaps

The time has come to take you through my trip to Amsterdam last week with the Mighty Swoosh. We were greeted with our own radio station in the cab straight off the plane...

The taxi took us to our hotel, the building was amazing...

We were welcomed to our room...

and given an itinerary...

Here's the view from our room...

Waterway to have a good time...

Had a quick look in on a coffee shop but I didn't inhale...

As I showed you before there was some excitement about Method Man staying in the same hotel but no photo op other than with the tour bus. With no time to spare we were whisked away to the secret location on a coach with Sid, Korahn and Colin...

Ushered in by flashing air strip lights we pulled up by a giant door...

Which led us into Badger's space ship...

We sat in here listening to Nasa noises...

We were then shown the Omar Salazar advert and taken through the concept for the shoe and it's development by Omar himself and the main designer who worked on the project. After this we were ushered into the best skatepark I've ever had the pleasure of visiting where we were given a pair of his shoes by girls in Barbarella outfits...

Then we had fun for hours. There was food and beer but I missed the food, oblivious to it existing. Sam made an edit which is good because I didn't take any photos. You'll get to see the skatepark
here
I wish we had something like that here. It was good getting to skate with everybody, Badger came for a skate too. After this we went back to the hotel...

To pick up these...

and head out to the party which was phenomenal, unlimited free booze. Hence apologies for the lack of photographic evidence and the existing one's lack of quality. Luy-Pa and Gui were there and it was good to see them both as always...

Here's a bad one of Korahn and Colin...

and one of Marcel Veldman...

No others were salvageable I'm afraid. With a quick sleep in between we flew back to London City the next day. None of these were allowed on the plane...

But somehow I wangled this on there...

it was a great experience and a real treat to skate that park. Thanks to Nike SB and Sam Barratt..

For making our visit possible

The style you haven't done yet

Good news in from this camp...

Momentum is building with the run up to the premiere. Tickets are all sold out, while on the subject Banksy if you're reading this your tickets are safe and sound. Here's the trailer...

MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE COLOUR BLUE trailer. from Blueprint Skateboards on Vimeo.

Which I lifted from the fresh new Blueprint site. There's a load more content and it's easier to navigate around. Check the fresh site
here
As I type there are 13 days, 8 hours, 23 minutes and 20 seconds till the premiere according to the new site, hope you have your tickets put away for that one, it'll be a good night. Whilst flicking through the site I found this picture Shier had posted from a trip to Majorca from 2000-good memories...

Look at how young Brady is! Goodness knows why I have my hands behind my head. Magee called Toby and I Albatrosses at one point on the trip but he was happy we were there really. One night very soon in April will be another raucous one and I hope you'll all be there

Back to it

I got home yesterday from being away on a Nike trip to Amsterdam I was on with this guy...

I had an amazing time. I'll give you a proper update on that when the smoke has cleared in here. Our Emerica/Altamont shop opening meant give-aways/raffle tickets and stoked young human beings...

It all went swimmingly. Our basement is now fully operational...

Apologies for my bad photography. To get a better idea of how it is down there prior to your visit in person have a look at this write up over on

The Daily Street
My Uncle is back from Canada for tonight so I'm going to see him shortly which I'm looking forward to. See you in the morrow
